Over 15 years ago, I found myself nestled in the corporate world, a world bustling with ambition but often lacking in well-being. At that point, I wasn't the fitness and wellness professional I am today. In fact, I was quite the opposite—a self-proclaimed couch potato with a lifestyle far from healthy. I had grown up quite active (a runner and a cheerleader), but you know what happened? Life.
During that time, the stress from raising four kids and working had caught up with me. I decided to join a gym. As part of their new member special, they offered a current wellness and fitness assessment. Cool, I thought! When they went to do the measuring and weigh in part, the employee sighed and shook her head. She showed me the results. Not cool. I wasn't obese, but I had somehow, in the course of my life journey, slid smack dab into the overweight category. Isn't it crazy what happens when you are just going about living your life and stop listening to your body?
My mission became crystal clear: to provide people with the tools and unwavering support they needed to positively transform their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Each workshop I conducted, each coaching session I led, was a chance to create a journey for transformation. My life experiences and genuine compassion resonated with those I encountered, sparking a sense of hope and inspiring change.
It was never about the weight. It was about the wellness.
Intrigued by the possibilities of transformation, I started on my own wellness journey. It began with running a half mile. Then a mile. And eventually, I ran my first 5k. I had a journey with myself that reminded me of the joy of movement and feeling better.
Over the course of 15 years, I transitioned from that couch potato to a dedicated fitness and wellness expert. Along the way, I witnessed the incredible power that positive changes in mental, emotional, and physical health could bring. It was a revelation that set my soul on fire. With newfound vigor, I delved into the fitness world as a Zumba and Yoga Instructor. I didn't stop there; I also stepped into the role of a corporate health and wellness coach, offering guidance and support to others seeking positive shifts in their lives. My story is not just about personal triumph; it's about spreading hope, encouraging change, and creating a ripple effect of wellness. I found that in empowering others, I was empowering myself. My journey became a beacon, illuminating the path for others to embark on their own adventures toward vibrant well-being.
In the heart of my story lies a powerful message: transformation is not merely a destination; it's an ongoing, beautiful journey filled with hope, courage, and the unwavering belief that we can all positively shift our lives for the better.
Using a variety of modalities in my presentations and workshops, my goal is to provide real actionable ways to shift.
